Denison University invites applications for a tenure track position in Mathematics, to begin in August, 2007. Candidates must have earned a Ph.D. in Mathematics. Specialization in an area of discrete mathematics is strongly preferred. An applied research focus and the abilities to teach calculus-based statistics and linear programming are also desirable. We are seeking an energetic individual who is committed to providing a quality education to undergraduate students in a liberal arts setting, supervising undergraduate research, and maintaining a strong research program. The teaching load at Denison is 3-2.
Denison University is a highly selective, private liberal arts college enrolling approximately 2,000 undergraduate students. Denison is located in Granville, Ohio, 25 miles east of Columbus. The Department of Mathematics and Computer Science offers B.A. and B.S. degrees in both mathematics and computer science. Our department is currently home to 5 mathematicians and 4 computer scientists; we consider collaboration between members of the two fields to be one of our stongest assets.
