Fixed Term Contract for 3 years
As part of the Space and Astrophysics PPARC Rolling grant, you will work on the theoretical and observational study of MHD wave and oscillations in the solar corona. The project comprises the analysis of data obtained with space-borne telescopes including TRACE, SOHO and RHESSI, future missions, ground-based observational facilities, including NoRH, the observational determination of parameters of coronal waves and oscillations, and
analytical and numerical modelling of these phenomena. You will have, or will expect to attain, a PhD in a relevant discipline. This post is designed as a career development post for someone who is newly qualified and wishes to gain experience in this field.
