Solid-State Quantum Optics and Quantum Information Processing with Defects in Diamond
The defects in diamond quantum optics and quantum information (QIP) group at the University of Stuttgart (3. Institute of Physics) is inviting applications for a Postdoctoral position.
The team pursues research in the area of single spin quantum physics and QIP at an internationally highly competitive level. The research efforts are well imbedded in international cooperation especially on a European level. The successful applicant should carry out research on photon to spin conversion, photon memory and repeater schemes with liberty to follow own lines of research. Ideally the candidate should have a background in low temperature optical solid-state spectroscopy or quantum optics. The contract is initially limited to 2 years with the possibility of an extension.
Salary and benefits are commensurate with public service organizations (TVöD).
