Bennington College invites applications for a regular full-time
position in mathematics, beginning Fall 2007. Candidates must have (or
expect to have by Fall 2007) either a Ph.D. in pure or applied
mathematics; or a Ph.D. in a closely allied field together with a
Bachelors and/or Masters degree in mathematics. Candidates should also
have a substantial history of innovative and successful teaching.
Bennington College invites innovative approaches to the classroom, and
offers broad scope for course development and creative approaches to
curriculum. Courses that cross disciplinary boundaries are encouraged.
Bennington College is a small, undergraduate, liberal-arts institution
with very low student-faculty ratios and small class sizes. Bennington
faculty are teacher-practioners who pursue research programs and
professional work outside the College. Applicants should submit cover
