Researches on imitation behavior are gaining a deal of attention in the research field of synthetic research on humanoid robots and understanding of human being intelligence. Imitation behavior includes understanding of motion, understanding of concept and context of behavior, motion generation through different configuration of bodies, which are the basis of robotics and progressing under the encouragement of outcomes of neurophysiology. This special issue will focus on the theoretical and technological challenges posed to Imitative Robotics research domain, e.g. on how to design platforms that can be effectively used in imitative robots. Papers on all aspects of application of Robotics for imitation are welcome, including, but not limited to the following topics:
- Imitation robots system
- Observation of human movement and recognition, understanding
- Sensing system for daily life
- Acquisition of primitive motion
- Sensorimotor pattern sand symbol correlation acquisition
- Interactive movement acquisition
- Dynamic analysis and modelling of movement
- Movement modelling of the robot which has a different body
- Motion Capturing systems and its application
- Social interaction for behaviour acquisition
- Mirror Neurons and robotics
Submission:
Pdf format file of the complete manuscript should be sent by November 30, 2006 to the office of Advanced Robotics, the Robotics Society of Japan through our homepage (http://www.rsj.or.jp/AR). Sample form of the manuscript is available at the homepage, too. Also send the same file to prof. Tetsunari Inamura (
